Several Ukrainian regions were again hit by rockets on Wednesday night. A maternity ward was also hit and a baby is said to have died as a result of the shelling.
“Pain floods our hearts – a baby just born has been killed,” Zaporizhia military governor Olexandr Starukh wrote on Telegram on Wednesday. Rescue workers are still at work in the small town of Wilnjansk.
Missile hits were also reported from neighboring Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions. Russian troops have been attacking Donetsk for several weeks, the Ukrainian authorities spoke of one dead and eight wounded. However, no casualties were reported in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Military governor Valentyn Resnichenko reported that more than 30 projectiles had hit villages there.
Drones attack military objects
Meanwhile, the Russian military may soon need Iranian weapons.
