Antonio Garamendi will continue to serve as President of the CEOE Employers’ Association for the next four years and will serve a second four-year term at the head of the business executives.
Garamendi has today won the presidential elections of the CEOE employers with 534 votes in favor, against the candidacy of the Vice President of Foment del Treball, Virgina Guinda, who received 87 votes in elections with a total of 643 people.
In the coming days, the employer’s board of directors will be convened to proceed with the appointment of the vice-chairmen and the members of the executive committee.
This will be Garamendi’s second term after being elected president of the CEOE by acclamation of the Electoral Assembly in 2018. It will also be the last, as employer statutes limit the time a person can continue in the chairmanship to two terms.
