On the Rheintalautobahn (Vorarlberg), a car completely burned out on Wednesday morning, then there was a rear-end collision on the opposite lane. Three people were injured – it was a typical Gaffer accident.
At 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, a driver drove his car onto the A14 in Hohenems. The car started smoking while still in the driveway. The driver stopped and got out. Fortunately in time, because the car has completely burned down and is ready for demolition. The highway to Tyrol had to be completely closed for 25 minutes.
But that’s not all: during the total closure, a number of motorists on the oncoming lane braked sharply with their cars to better see what was happening. It came as it should: a rear-end collision with three cars resulted. The typical Gaffer accident claimed three injuries, fortunately two only minor. The three vehicles involved in the accident were all damaged.
