After the mayor of Schwarzach protested the state’s plans to create large housing for refugees in the community, there is no longer any cause for excitement. The hall is not being built.
The excitement was great, the mayor of Schwarzach, Thomas Schierle, had leaflets sent to his citizens. For example, he accused the state of Vorarlberg of having presented him with a fait accompli and of planning a hall for 150 refugees in Schwarzach. However, the property in question is not owned by the municipality or the state. The owner had not yet approved the plans for the hall on Tuesday – and will not.
As State Councilor Christian Gantner explains, the company “Hefel Real Vermögens”, which owns the real estate in the Pfeller business area, has announced that the hall planned there cannot be used for accommodation purposes. The hall is being built by i+R. The owner company also refers to usage restrictions in the building contract.
