In addition to the “lack of staff”, the unions ELA, CCOO, Pixkanaka, ALE, LAB and Asprobank also denounced “excessive pressure and stifling hierarchical control”.
All unions with representation in Kutxabank, ELA, CCOO, Pixkanaka, ALE, LAB and Asprobank have declared a strike this Friday, February 24before the “limit situation” the squad goes through”the lack of staff, the flight of talent and the excessive pressure and increase of targets payroll taxes” despite the closure of offices.
During a performance in Bilbao, union representatives have read a joint communiqué in which they set out the reasons that decided on this strike due to the “serious” situation experienced by the staff.
After clarifying that there is no economic motivation behind this mobilization, they explained that the purpose of this strike is “reverse” the “serious” current situation taken from, among other things, theClosing offices and raising targets imposed on the staff”.
Trade unions have focused, among other things, on the “increased trade pressure”which they have described as “excessive”, the flight of talent and the lack of staff, among other problems, have put workers in “an extreme situation”.
ELA, CCOO, Pixkanaka, ALE, LAB and Asprobank have recalled that according to their data, Kutxabank will be between 2014 and 2022 has closed 293 offices and has 1,448 fewer people in template. Currently, the workforce, they added, is about 3,600 employees, of which about 300 are temporary.
Given this situation resulting from the closure of offices and the existence of fewer staff, the unions have denounced that on the contrary “the pressure to hire” has increased, with an “exponential” growth of targets year after year and a “suffocating hierarchical control”putting staff under “increasing pressure and dissatisfaction, which translates into anxiety disorders and deterioration of physical and mental health“.
