On Thursday, activists protested in front of Red Bull’s headquarters in Fuschl (Salzburg) with a large banner reading “Red Bull gives Putin wings”.
The group that Solidarity Project Ukraine calls, wants to refer to the beverage giant’s business activities in Russia. The poster shows the Russian president shirtless on the jumping Red Bull bull.
A thorn in the side of the activists: while other international companies such as McDonald’s and Coca-Cola have closed their business in Russia, Red Bull continues to sell its drinks “in the Putin dictatorship”.
As part of their protest, the activists also addressed an open letter to Mark Mateschitz, the son of the late Dietrich Mateschitz.
