The indictment accuses him of conducting propaganda for the terrorist organization and also having trained as a security guard. He would later serve in the organization for two years.
When the man fled to Europe, his journey came to an abrupt end at the border with Germany. The police confiscated his mobile phone. The officers found images on the device showing the man in uniform and with an assault rifle. The 21-year-old confessed and said he regrets his actions.
