On Monday morning, another accident happened: the ceiling of a building collapsed, injuring three people. Two workers were slightly injured, a third was trapped up to the thigh in the fresh concrete and had to be freed. There don’t appear to be any other missing persons.
The collapse happened around 9:15 am. The three workers were doing concrete work on an underground parking garage and stood on the ceiling, which suddenly collapsed for unknown reasons.
A technical defect had already led to a crane crashing at the construction site in Lochau in September. Three houses were damaged at the time, luckily no one was injured.
