Dangerous scenes played out on Monday evening on a company site in the Tyrolean town of Kirchbichl (Kufstein district). A worker was hit and trapped by a reversing concrete mixer. The 43-year-old was taken to hospital.
Around 6 p.m., the local resident wanted to instruct the 49-year-old driver of a concrete mixer to reverse. But he missed the right moment to swerve and the truck overtook him. The 43-year-old then got his leg trapped between the rear of the mixer truck and a wall.
Truck driver provided first aid
The driver noticed the incident through the screams of the injured person. The Austrian administered first aid and called the rescue service. After the initial treatment, they took the worker to the district hospital in Kufstein for a medical check-up.
