His willingness to help now became fatal for a 57-year-old in Innsbruck. The Croat let three friends stay in his apartment when he was not there himself. When he returned, not only the overnight guests were gone, but also his girlfriend’s car.
From Monday to Tuesday, two women (26 and 27) and a 36-year-old man from Bosnia stayed in the 57-year-old’s apartment in Innsbruck. However, the head of the house drove his car from the company to his partner (51) and spent the night there – probably assuming he could trust his acquaintances. The 51-year-old’s car stopped in front of the Croat’s house, the key was in his apartment.
Rough awakening and 5am
The next morning the nasty surprise followed: around five o’clock the Croat returned to his apartment and noticed that his girlfriend’s car was gone. The car key was also gone and there was no trace of the three overnight guests.
According to the police, they are suspected of theft of the silver-grey Seat Ibiza with Innsbruck number plates. The extent of the damage caused by this cannot yet be quantified.
