Amid the cleanup after the deadly mudslide on the popular holiday island of Ischia, tragedy strikes hearts. Italy is now looking for a little girl who lost her doll when her family home was destroyed. But the search proves difficult in the chaos. The island is now caught up in an almost criminal past.
The photos of the doll completely buried in mud are currently spreading quickly. Many Italians want to help find the owner. But no one knows if the girl survived or was injured. Volunteer Regina Buono found the red-haired doll and lovingly cleaned it. Now she looks almost like new: “She ate and is clean again. We are now looking for the little princess who owns it.”
