This is how the pensions will be from 2023

After we know the expected 8.5% increase in pensions for next year, we will look at how this increase will affect on a case-by-case basis.

As you know, this Tuesday, the increase in pensions in 2023 will be 8.5%. Once the advance inflation data for Novemberthis allows the revaluation for the coming year to be calculated and confirms the increase estimated in the budgets by the government of Spain.

With this historic increase, the maximum benefit received by more than 40,000 pensioners in the CAV will exceed 3,000 euros for the first time.

In Hego Euskal Herria, a total of 710,700 pensions were counted at the end of October. This is how pensioners receive the increase, in figures, by type of pension:

non-contributory pensions

The average pension of Hego Euskal Herria is around 1,300 euros, in the case of premium payments. Taking into account that those who have this type of pension receive 115 euros more per month, they receive more than 1,400 euros in total on average.

For example, from the beginning of 2023 and after application of this increase, every pensioner will receive an additional 1,610 euros annually.

Pensions

As for old-age pensions, the most numerous, the difference will be even greater, as they will grow by 130 euros per month. They go from 1510 euros to 1638 euros.

widow’s pension

The widow’s pension averages more than 1,100 euros; ie about 80 euros more than now.
