The Viennese Fredi Ferkova investigated the man who sent her unwanted penis photos and intimate videos to the mobile phone using a detective. She is against him in court, on Monday there was a very clear decision in the district court of favorites – the man has to pay.
Last summer activist Fredi Ferkova received uncomfortable mail on the mobile phone. A subscriber to her Instagram channel, which she does not know personally, sent the 33-year-old a short video “completely unobtrusive and reasonable”, as her lawyer Philipp Springer notes. In the short clip the man films how he is in bed at night and is satisfied. In the following days, further intimate photos with suggestive statements follow, such as: “Did you have such a big one?”
“Demonstrating and disgusting”, De Viennese sees a culpable intervention in its privacy.
Detective researchers
Fredi Ferkova is not the only one suffering from foreign penis photos, so-called “Dick-Pics”. But the dedicated young woman is one of the first to act legally. She gave two detectives to investigate the perpetrator in January 2025. He is active in the fitness scene.
Ferkova sued the man, on Monday the civilian trial against him in the court’s favorites. It’s about order and compensation. On the one hand, Ferkova claims to have replaced the investigation costs of him, and on the other she also claims elusive damage. “No woman has to tolerate sexual harassment. Neither in public space nor on the internet, “says Philipp Springer.
“A problem of men”
The judge sees it that way. The case is clear to him: “This is the threat of rape”, he falls a standard judgment against the Viennese, who claps his trial. Unpleasant e -mail from the court is now certain: the unit of the unit must pay more than 4,000 euros – the detective costs, the costs of the lawyers and 1,000 euros in compensation for Ferkova. Who mainly impressed one sentence of the judge: ‘He said it was a problem with men and a problem of society. I find it remarkable when a man finds it.
“Dick-Pics” soon criminal offense
It was a trend setting process, especially because Austria lags behind on the subject. Unlike in Germany and other European countries, unwanted “dick-pics” are not a criminal offense in this country.
Not yet! Because the new coalition agrees at this point, although the concrete implementation is still open. In Germany, “Dick-Pics” in the section “Distribution of pornographic content” are regulated, with us they can be seen as “sexual harassment” in the future.
