A 19-year-old from Villach received a message from a woman on a social media platform. After the talk, there was a video chat – and it ended in blackmail.
Even the chat chat soon turned into a sexual direction, followed by a video chat that incorporated the unknown. And she asked 1,000 euros in bitcoins, otherwise she would send the photos to all the contacts on Villach’s friends list.
The victim started to negotiate the price until the woman asked for only 300 euros in bitcoins. After the transfer, however, she asked for another 200 euros and wanted another 500 euros before the end of the month.
Ultimately, the 19-year-old went to the police and filed a complaint. He sustained a damage of 300 euros.
