A passenger plane of the American airline Southwest Airlines was hit by a bullet on Friday evening (local time) shortly before departure from Dallas Love Field Airport in the state of Texas.
“Southwest Airlines Flight 2494 was en route to Indianapolis when a bullet apparently struck the right side of the aircraft, just below the cockpit, as the crew prepared for takeoff,” the company said.
The aircraft returned to the terminal and was taken out of service. There were no injuries. The passengers exited the plane safely, Dallas Airport said.
Dallas police confirmed to Fox News Digital that officers responded to a call about a shooting at Dallas Love Field Airport just before 10 p.m.
