Countless inhabitants of a house with several parties at Heiligenstädter Straße in Vienna-Döling were torn out of sleep on Tuesday evening. It had started to burn in the stairs – six people could no longer free themselves from the perilous situation.
The Viennese Professional Fire Brigade received an alarm in Döblinger Heiligenstädter Straße in the early morning hours of Tuesday. A fire was broken – the flames would already hit several windows in the stairs. When the 27 men and six vehicles arrived at the house, there was a clear excitement among the residents who were torn out of sleep. People would still be admitted to the house, it said.
Respiratory protection team has saved residents
According to spokesperson Jürgen Figerl, the fire brigade placed a fire line through the stairs and one over the outside and also sent a respiratory protection team to the hit. Apartments were searched for the fire stove, which was on the 2nd floor of the stairs. A total of six people were brought out, including a man who had been in the field of the stove.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire
He was cared for in medical emergency care, but was then released in home care. The five other residents were also provided by the Special Operations Group of the Professional Rescue. While the stairs ventilated and the operation ended at 5.30 am, the police took the investigation into the cause of the fire.
