It is a tough battle for the new collective labor agreement. After last week’s warning strike, the railway workers will meet on Monday afternoon for further negotiations. Both employers and employees hesitated for requests to speak in the run-up to the talks.
“The time has come to stop commenting on everything related to the media,” was the message from negotiating circles before the weekend. Now it’s time to bring some peace to the KV round.
The round of negotiations will take place in the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
12 percent wage increase demanded
The trade union vida recently called for an average wage increase of twelve percent and a minimum increase of the KV and the actual wage of 400 euros. The employer representatives offered 8.4 percent or a minimum increase of 208 euros.
