A skier (23) fell over the weekend in the Gaislachkogel ski area through his own fault in the open ski area, flipped over several times and ended up in the safety net. The German sustained life-threatening injuries and eventually had to be flown to the clinic in Innsbruck.
The German was on his way down slope No. 3 in the Gaislachkogel ski area shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday and may have left the marked slope. “The winter sports enthusiast fell into the open ski area through his own fault,” said the police.

The 23-year-old fell over several times and then slid into a safety net under the slope, stopping his fall. “The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Innsbruck clinic by rescue helicopter after first aid,” said the director.
