27-year-old in custody – victim of robbery threatened with murder: further arrest

Date:

After the robbery of an 18-year-old Czech in Innsbruck on Saturday evening, in which the victim was threatened with death, the police were able to investigate and arrest the third suspect. The Cameroonian (27) is stuck. Two alleged perpetrators had already been unmasked on Saturday.

The victim reported the incident to the police the next day, stating that he had received death threats from three people in Pestalozzistrasse late on Friday night, around 11:30 p.m., and had been forced to hand over cash. The perpetrators then stole more than 100 euros, the mobile phone and the victim’s passport.

First, two men went to investigate
The 18-year-old managed to tip off the detectives, said he would know one of the alleged perpetrators. The police were then able to arrest two Austrians aged 17 and 32. While the youngster was partially known and generally reported, the 32-year-old denied any connection to the crime. The latter was taken to Innsbruck prison by order of the public prosecutor.

Now also Cameroonians in custody
The third of the group was in hiding for the time being. After extensive investigation, the police were able to track down this suspect. It involved a 27-year-old Cameroonian. “During the interrogation, the man made a partial confession,” the detectives said. He is now also in prison in Innsbruck.
