A 44-year-old Briton had to answer for the regional court in Feldkirch on Monday because of reactivation by the Nazis. Since he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and the court assumes that more crimes will take place in the future, he is sent to an institution for mentally deviant offenders.
Last April, the Brit caused a stir in front of the police station in the center of Feldkirch. “Kill all the Jews! Nazi through and through! Nazi forever!” cried the 44-year-old in English, raising his hand in the Hitler salute. The aggressive man was then arrested and later taken to Rankweil State Hospital. There he continued to swear at the Jews because he was convinced that they wanted to take his money from him.
After several examinations, the doctors in Rankweil agree: the man suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. And that has been the case for many years. This is finally confirmed by those responsible at the British embassy.
“I defend myself by sympathizing with Nazis”
During the trial, the victim, who believes he is an investment banker and has dual citizenship of Britain and Liechtenstein, admitted “an incident” and fired again: “I am defending my life against the Jewish people.” I defend my money, which the Jews want to take from me. I defend myself against it by sympathizing with the Nazis. And I will do it again!”
For this reason, court expert Reinhard Haller came to the conclusion in his expert opinion that the person concerned primarily belongs in an institution for psychologically deviant offenders. Also considering that the Briton’s health has deteriorated since he was admitted and treated in April.
The question followed the eight jurors. They found the person involved guilty of the crimes, but also assumed that he was unsound at the time. The decision is final.
