Cars damaged – Krampus gang “regulates” traffic in Tyrolean Ort

Date:

Not the police, but Krampuses, who misunderstand customs, nowadays ‘check’ the traffic in Längenfeld in the Tyrolean Ötztal. Three cars were damaged on Sunday alone. On Monday, police evaluated cell phone videos of witnesses.

They run at cars stuck in traffic, tear open the car doors, beat the vehicles with sticks, throw eggs at them, and damage the cars – intentionally or accidentally – with their slings and chains. We’re talking about devils who – apart from recorded Krampus runs – are currently up to mischief in Längenfeld. When witnesses make videos with their mobile phones, they try to damage the smartphones – as happened in a case on Sunday evening at the church in Längenfeld – the “Krone” reported.

Cat and mouse game with the police
“It’s a misunderstood habit,” said Luigi Moser, deputy commander of the Sölden police. She has trouble getting the nuisance under control, talk of a game of cat and mouse.
