In Kalsdorf near Graz, an investigation has been launched into two suspects who have stolen returns from a postal distribution center for a long time.
Through extensive investigation, officials from the Kalsdorf Police Station were able to track down those postal distribution center employees who were allegedly guilty of particularly brutal package theft. The 44-year-old prime suspect and a 20-year-old suspect were seen tearing up returned items, stealing the contents, resealing the packages and sorting them for onward transport. More than a hundred packages may have been stolen in this way.
Jewelery and mobile phones stolen
After investigating two Romanians living in Graz, stolen watches, mobile phones and jewelry were seized. However, due to a lack of documentation, it was not possible to quantify the damage precisely.
The suspects were released without notice and reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Graz.
