Trial in Innsbruck – injured Tyrolean police officer: “The boys are lying”

Date:

A defendant entered into a veritable “war of words” with the Tyrolean regional court. He accuses both police officers and the prosecutor of lying. In fact, it’s all about one thing: he slammed a police officer’s arm into the window of his mobile home when he wanted to give him a written statement.

The accused discusses legal issues with the judge and the prosecutor, while the lawyer stands awkwardly and tries to interrupt his client’s speech. In vain.

He demands expert opinion after expert opinion, even wants to take a lie detector test, makes a statement, quotes from books and apparently has everything but faith in the executive and the judiciary. For example, regarding the statements of the three police officers, one of whom he injured, he claims: “The three cute little boys are lying.”

What really happened
The officer wanted to hand over to the accused a verdict made in his absence. But instead of taking the documents, he clamped the police officer’s arm against the window, damaging his wristwatch as well.

The suspect has already appealed before the judge pronounces the verdict: 1440 euros fine, 483 euros compensation for pain and suffering. He wants to send the court a list of all the false statements made by the officials in the next 14 days.
