On the night of Tuesday, an 81-year-old man was found in Munich who had been reported missing in Graz. The demented woman was unharmed and traveled on to Switzerland.
An acquaintance of the 81-year-old reported on Monday that the 81-year-old from Graz, who was suffering from dementia, had been missing since the morning hours. The check of all known whereabouts of the woman and a cell phone poll came back negative.
A police helicopter was then deployed. Several police patrols were deployed, including the Graz Police Service Dog Inspectorate. The deployed troops searched near the residence of the 81-year-old and in an adjacent wooded area.
Onward journey to daughter
An officer from the Police Cooperation Center (PKZ) in neighboring Germany, Passau, eventually reported that the 81-year-old had been found at Munich train station around 11 p.m. After consultation with the woman’s daughter, who lives in Switzerland, she drove to Zurich and was picked up by her daughter there.
