Labor unions ALS, LAB and Steilas They made a call to second on Wednesday second day of strike in Basque public education called for their rejection of the gum of the design of Law of education.

These unions believe that the draft of the new Basque education law does not allow to overcome the current dual education model, but also to perpetuate it, and they defend a law that centers on the public school and that the Basque language in the Centre.
Along with this, they demand a law that allows progress towards a single public network, Basque and its own, guaranteeing “equal opportunities, social cohesion and the process of learning Basque”.
For his part, on behalf of the Basque Government, the Minister of Education, Jokin Bildarratzhas stated that it is a “difficult to understand” strike and more so at the moment, in which there is a draft of the preliminary project with the open period for allegations to collect various reflections and contributions.
