A German living in Salzburg has to answer to court on Thursday: The accusation is stalking. According to the charges, she harassed her dentist with phone calls and emails. Another doctor has to answer questions the same day for tax evasion in the millions.
30 calls a day, hundreds of emails to both the office email address and the dentist’s private address – all over a period of more than four months: stalking or persistent pursuit, as it is called in legal jargon, accuses the Salzburg prosecutor’s office of the 28-year-old.
“spiritually attracted”
During the investigation, the suspect stated that she was “mentally attracted” to the man and “felt the urge to see him”. On Thursday she has to go to the regional court for the criminal trial. If the conviction is in accordance with the indictment under Article 107a of the Criminal Code, the woman risks a prison sentence of up to one year or a fine.
Dentist would have cut 1.1 million in taxes
Speaking of dentists, on the same day another dentist working in the state of Salzburg was charged with tax evasion. According to the indictment, the academic withheld about 1.1 million euros in income tax from the tax authorities over a period from 2010 to 2018.
