The “Krone” story of the rescued four castaways in the Atlantic Ocean around the Upper Austrian Helmut W. (65) is going around the world! The rescued Upper Austrian survived ten days without water in the Atlantic Ocean – now he just wants to go home.
As reported, the expedition cruise ship “World Voyager” of the German shipping company Nicko Cruises sailed on the Atlantic Ocean with 118 passengers and 108 crew members. Also on board is Tyrolean-Viennese Wolfgang Pröhl, who manages a beautiful miniature region of Tyrol for visitors, not far from Vienna’s Naschmarkt.
Pröhl spoke to the compatriot after his rescue and stood by him. Despite the distress at sea, which ended lightly thanks to Voyager captain Vincent van Zijderveld, the Atlantic cruiser was punctually expected in the port of Bridgetown in the Caribbean island state of Barbados.
There, the rescued on land must be thoroughly checked again. The castaway, who has lived in Andalusia in Spain for years, wants to be home for Christmas.
