That was not such a bright idea: a 12-year-old boy grabbed his mother’s car in Telfs, Tyrol, on Sunday evening and went for a ride with his cousin of the same age. After the boy caused an accident with a total of four damaged cars, the duo fled.
Shortly after 01:00, an accident occurred in Telfs on Niederen-Munde-Straße, in which four vehicles were destroyed, according to the police. “Witnesses then stated that after the accident, two underage boys had run away from the car that caused the accident,” the investigators said.
Boys taken in at home by rescue
They left the car with the license plate. And so the officials did not have a particularly difficult time tracking down the young criminals. During the investigation, the two boys were eventually found at their home address in Telfs. Both boys were injured. “When the officers arrived, they were already taken care of by the ambulance.”
One of the 12-year-olds eventually admitted to police that he took his mother’s car and went for a ride with his cousin of the same age.
Delivered to the Innsbruck clinic
The exact course of the accident has yet to be determined. There was massive property damage. The two injured boys were eventually taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic.
