Serious accident due to microsleep in Nettingsdorf in Upper Austria: A father (44) dozed off behind the wheel on Saturday evening, the car flipped over. The driver and his eleven-year-old son were injured.
A 44-year-old from the Linz-Land district drove his car with his eleven-year-old son on Nettingsdorfer Straße, L1399, towards Ansfelden at around 6 p.m. on Saturday. Due to a microsleep, the man drove his car off the road in the Nettingsdorf district, municipality of Ansfelden, at StrKm 10.9, collided with an embankment and a street lamp, causing the car to flip over.

The two occupants of the car were injured to an undetermined degree and were transferred to Kepler University Hospital in Linz after receiving first aid.
