The former police officer Patrick Jaritz has specialized in the educational and psychological counseling of children and young people. With his team and the Bernese Mountain Dog Sam, the Carinthian has been successfully attending primary schools for years. Together we find the right solution to problems.
The prevention program is financed with public funds from the state of Carinthia. Patrick Jaritz, his wife Anja and the employee Verena Verdin have their hands full and look after 42 primary schools in Carinthia, three in Styria and two in Vienna. “’Capless 4 School’ is a prevention program especially for primary school students, which builds on the four primary levels of primary school. Important social issues are tackled in a child-friendly manner,” says Jaritz.
With “Capless” to more attention and attention
It is also about more consideration and mindfulness. In selected and theme-related movement games and exercises, everyday school situations are evoked, which bring the students into their natural, familiar behaviour. “Then, disruptive factors are built in to resolve conflicts together using various nonviolent and solution-focused communication techniques in the discussion group.”
Own institute for individual training
The units can be kept in the gym, classroom or outdoors. The team is also supported by the friendly Bernese Mountain Dog Sam. “It is always a special experience for the students. Even the most inattentive child is happy to participate,” emphasizes Jaritz, who runs his own capless institute for individual training in the Völkermarkt.
