Shock for a 34-year-old on Sunday evening in Axams, Tyrol: On the way home after snowboarding, the woman lost control of her minibus, crashed into a wall and eventually fell several meters over the embankment. The neighbor sustained injuries. The fire department had to come.
The accident happened around 7 p.m., according to police. The 34-year-old Tyrolean was driving out of the valley in her minivan from the Axamer Lizum ski area when she suddenly lost control for unknown reasons.
“It first collided with a stone wall, then the vehicle left the road and fell about seven meters over the embankment into the adjacent forest,” the researchers said.
Injured with rescue in hospital
The driver suffered serious injuries, but was able to free herself from the van. After first aid at the scene of the accident, she was taken to the Innsbruck clinic by the alerted rescue service.
The vehicle sustained serious damage, according to police. It was made safe by the fire service and then put back on the street.
