An unusual accident happened in a hotel in Kirchberg in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel on Monday. 50 liters of hot liquid flowed over the legs of a German (22) when he wanted to remove a pan from the stove. The cause of the accident is probably not commonplace either.
The accident happened just before 12 noon. The 22-year-old hotel employee tried to remove a pan with 50 liters of hot liquid from the stove. “One handle of the pot broke,” police said.
Helicopter flown to hospital
The liquid then poured over the German’s legs. The 22-year-old man suffered serious burns. He had to be flown to St. Johann Hospital in a rescue helicopter.
