90 km/h too fast – young racer wanted to “take girlfriend to hospital”

Date:

A 21-year-old speeding driver drove at 160 km/h instead of the permitted 70 km/h due to a police laser measurement. His weird excuse: he was only so fast because he wanted to take his girlfriend to the hospital. However, the girlfriend refused to ask for rescue.

At a traffic control on Monday evening around 8.30 pm on the B1 in the municipality of Asten, the police stopped a speeding offender. The 21-year-old driver from Lower Austria drove 160 instead of the permitted 70 km/h, the officials’ laser measurement showed. The driver was stopped after a short drive. The driver said he was speeding because he wanted to take his girlfriend, who was in the passenger seat, to the hospital.
