A 21-year-old speeding driver drove at 160 km/h instead of the permitted 70 km/h due to a police laser measurement. His weird excuse: he was only so fast because he wanted to take his girlfriend to the hospital. However, the girlfriend refused to ask for rescue.
At a traffic control on Monday evening around 8.30 pm on the B1 in the municipality of Asten, the police stopped a speeding offender. The 21-year-old driver from Lower Austria drove 160 instead of the permitted 70 km/h, the officials’ laser measurement showed. The driver was stopped after a short drive. The driver said he was speeding because he wanted to take his girlfriend, who was in the passenger seat, to the hospital.
Advertisement and driver’s license gone
The passenger refused to call for help and stated that the pain was not too bad. The driver’s driver’s license was provisionally taken from the driver on the spot by the officers. The steering wheel is displayed.
