Firefighters rescued a lifeless woman from a burning house in Ebreichsdorf, Lower Austria, on Saturday evening. The victim had to be resuscitated and then flown by emergency helicopter to Vienna General Hospital.
The alarm was sounded around 6:30 PM. When the fire brigade arrived, the first floor was already ablaze. Other flames had already spread to the upper floor and the roof structure. The flames in the building were brought under control within about half an hour, according to the local volunteer fire department.
Resuscitation
A respiratory protection team entered the building and found the lifeless woman. The resident was immediately taken outside and resuscitated.
