Discobus drama in Ternberg (Upper Austria): Two young women (21 and 24 years old) ran across the street after getting out behind the bus and right in front of the car of a 17-year-old. They were thrown onto the sidewalk, seriously injuring the 24-year-old.
A 17-year-old from the Steyr-Land district was driving her car on Eisenstraße towards Ternberg on Saturday around 10:15 pm. In the vicinity of Ternberg, a shuttle bus had stopped in front of a disco in the right lane at that time to let disco goers get off. To get to the party location, you have to cross the road.
Security secure street
A security guard closed the road for a short time. After most of the visitors had crossed the street, the bus driver drove off in the direction of Losenstein. At that moment, a 21-year-old and a 24-year-old, both from the Steyr-Land district, wanted to cross the street behind the bus and walked straight ahead of the 17-year-old’s car.
Thrown on the curb
This was unavoidable and a collision ensued, in which the pedestrians ended up on the adjacent sidewalk. The 24-year-old suffered serious injuries and was admitted to Kepler University Hospital after first aid from an emergency doctor. The 21-year-old was injured to an unknown extent and was taken to Steyr clinic.
