Two fire brigades in the upper Austria were warned on a burning tree in the top line. There was no more fire on the site, but a tree was stuck over the railway line in the line network. To remove it, the area was switched without the impact on train traffic.
The emergency services of the Fire Brigades of the Brandnenthal and Wallenham fire brigades were warned on Sunday evening on the Wels-Passau railway. When it came to Innweg, no fire could no longer be determined, but a fallen tree was stuck in the overhead line.
Train had to be cleaned up
The line was switched on to remove this. At the same time, a train was about to leave Wernstein station and therefore came to a halt 200 meters after the train station. Ten passengers had to wait an hour in the car before they could be evacuated and safely returned by the firefighters to the train station.
Tree cut from the line
The passengers then continued the further journey with another train. Together with the ÖBB, the tree was removed from the line by the fire brigade and crushed. For the duration of the operation, rail traffic on this route was interrupted.
