The English bulldog male Helmut has really had no luck so far. First he had to see this world as a torture puppy and realize that he could barely breathe. Later he also developed hip problems. But that didn’t seem to interest his owner from Wels, who just left him behind just before his departure in the summer.
Five operations
Already under the care of the animal shelter Pfotenhilfe in Lochen (Upper Austria), internal testicles were diagnosed, requiring a total of five operations to help Helmut. Almost half a year later, the time had finally come: Helmut was picked up healthy and alert on Tuesday by his brand new wife and was even proud to sit in the passenger seat. The zookeepers thought they saw a little melancholy on his face because of the farewell.

However, when he arrived at his new home, the dog could hardly believe his happiness. Not only a family that really loves him, but also new dog friends were waiting for him there. After a long romp and sniffing Helmut finally fell asleep satisfied.
