The Basque Parliament will debate this Friday from 9:30 am the General Budget Law of the Basque Country for the year 2023, a budget amounting to 14,250,722 euros, which will pass with the votes of the parties in the government, PNV and PSE-EE.
The reports reach this final debate after a negotiation phase in which all opposition groups, EH Bildu, Elkarrekin Podemos-IU, PP+Cs and Vox, have tabled amendments to the whole, each for their own specific reasons. . The PNV and PSE-EE rejected with their majority vote amendments to the whole during the plenary session on 9 December.
Later, on December 14, the Committee on Budgets approved with the votes of the parties in the government, several partial amendments submitted by the opposition €40 million. The approved amendments include the extension of the support for transport offered by Elkarrekin Podemos of 12 million euros, as well as amendments by the PP+Cs group and EH Bildu to strengthen the health field, amounting to 11.5 and 1.5 million respectively euros.
A total of 700 amendments have been tabled in the Committee on Budgets, for an estimated value of almost EUR 1.5 billion.
