Major drug discovery – Innsbruck: suspected burglar died in custody

Date:

After two coups in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein, a suspected burglar (40) was arrested at the end of November and taken to Innsbruck prison for pre-trial detention. Now the Italian would have died there. It was also revealed that he was charged with another crime.

After the 40-year-old broke into a house in Radfeld together with a 41-year-old Albanian at the end of October and allegedly stole cash and valuables worth more than 10,000 euros, both were arrested in November in a coup in Münster. The alleged perpetrators entered a grocery store by breaking open a patio door. There they stole 25 boxes of cigarettes and about 250 euros in cash. Due to the alarm system and a newspaper delivery woman who observed the escape, the Italian and the Albanian were soon caught – reports the “Krone”.

As the TT reported, the detectives found a large amount of drugs in the suspect’s car: the two had 25 kilos of hemp with an estimated sales value of 250,000 euros in the trunk. According to the public prosecutor, it was suspected that the drugs had been smuggled from Italy to Austria.
