“Want a Swimming Pool” – Wagner boss complains about Reicher’s lack of war aid

Date:

The financier of the Russian private army Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has complained about the lack of war aid from wealthy Russians. They were scared and would all like to “dip in a warm pool and have fun,” the 61-year-old said.

“They like the convenience. They all want to dive into a warm pool at night and have fun,” the 61-year-old said in an interview with Russian state television channel RT. Prigozhin advocated taking everything from these Russian compatriots. Then they too would be willing to work for the front. “At a certain point you have to realize that you have to give up everything you have, so the seductive world, the restaurants, spas, dachas, swimming pools. The sooner everything is taken from them, the better.”

From chef to war leader
The 61-year-old, who does not appear in the media, is considered a close confidant of Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. From her earlier time in St. Petersburg, he is also referred to as “Putin’s cook” because he entertained the politician in his restaurant there. Recently, the businessman had openly identified himself as the man behind the Wagner Group. This consists of volunteers such as foreign mercenaries and convicts who fight alongside the regular Russian forces in Ukraine. According to videos and intercepted radio messages, the Wagner group repeatedly committed war crimes, such as torture and executions.

“All the same in the front”
Only on Saturday did Prigozhin appear in public at a cemetery in St. Petersburg at the funeral of a Wagner fighter. He praised the man as a “real patriot” and stressed that everyone is equal at the front. At the same time, the businessman repeatedly criticizes the mistakes made by the Russian military leadership during the war. He is also said to have interfered in the American elections, which is why the local FBI is looking for him.
