On Christmas Day, a serious skiing accident occurred in the Kitzbühel ski area. A 62-year-old Dutch woman was so badly injured in a collision with a second winter sports enthusiast that she had to be taken to the clinic in Innsbruck.
Around 1.30 pm a serious accident occurred in Kitzbühel between two skiers, the cause of which is still unclear. On runway 19, a German (54) collided with the 62-year-old Dutch woman. The latter suffered serious injuries, as the police said in a broadcast.
The woman was rescued with the rescue helicopter and initially flown to the hospital in St. Johann in Tirol. From there, however, she had to be transferred to the Innsbruck clinic.
