The Foral Community basically bears the costs of €40 millionto remove the current railway line from the Landaben industrial estate and allow for the expansion of the industrial estate where Volkswagen is located, a “strategic” infrastructure that will be delivered to Adif for integration into the conventional line.
This is stated in the agreement between the central and regional authorities with Adif, the public company that manages rail connections in Spain, whose managers signed this Thursday in Pamplona the general protocol of action to promote a new railway line between the Landaben and Arazuri-Orkoien industrial estates.
After the agreement was signed, the Minister of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, underlined its importance “for the industrial development of Navarre and for the promotion of freight transport by rail, of a strategic nature for this government because of its influence on the necessary ecological transition of our production model”.

Also the pergola on the AP-15 highway (154 meters) and the false tunnel of “El Montico” (394 meters), realizing the integration of the infrastructure in the environment.
