A German (50) and his daughter (3) had to be admitted to the Innsbruck clinic with serious injuries on Thursday afternoon. The two had crashed in the Stubaital with a sled. Both were without helmets.
The accident happened around 3 p.m. on the Koppeneck toboggan run in Mieders. The three-year-old sat in the front, her father behind her. On a left turn, the man lost control of the sled and went over the track. The vehicle first collided with a signpost and then fell four meters down an embankment.
The sled hit a tree in the ditch. Father and daughter suffered serious injuries. After the rescue, they were flown to the Innsbruck clinic.
