Big shock for a 19-year-old mother on Sunday evening in Schwaz, Tyrol! Her only 21-month-old son unknowingly pulled the cord of an egg cooker, after which he was doused with hot water. The toddler suffered serious burns.
The deadly incident happened on Easter Sunday around 6:30 p.m. The 19-year-old was preparing dinner in her apartment kitchen when her 21-month-old son pulled the egg cooker in an unnoticed moment.
Severe burns
The boy was then completely doused with boiling water on the front and sides of the body. “The child suffered serious burns,” police said.
After the emergency, the boy was taken to the Innsbruck clinic with the rescue.
