A Viennese died before the turn of the year in Raasdorf in Lower Austria. The 57-year-old went off the road early Saturday evening with his vehicle and the car rolled over several times. There was no salvation for the man.
According to the police, the Viennese was on the L3019 towards Deutsch-Wagram shortly after 6 p.m. when it left the road for unknown reasons. According to the Raasdorf volunteer fire brigade, the vehicle hit the field several times during the rollover before coming to a stop with the roof pressed down. “On the site we were shown a photo of the destruction,” it said.
The trapped victim was rescued from the wreckage, but any help came too late for the 57-year-old, it said.
