As police have just announced, a 38-year-old man was seriously injured in a violent altercation with a Krampus in Ainet in East Tyrol in early December. Investigators are now looking for witnesses.
As part of Santa’s home visits, a previously unknown Krampus knocked the 38-year-old to the ground twice in front of a building in Ainet at around 9pm on December 3. “The man suffered serious injuries to his left knee,” police said.
Reported too late
After the local man was subsequently hospitalized in Lienz, he did not report the incident to the police until December 12. “Investigations conducted so far have been inconclusive,” the director said.
