The terrible collision – as reported – took place around 10.30 am on Pass-Thurn-Straße in Jochberg. The local motorist (34) drove towards Kitzbühel. A 29-year-old driver ahead of her had to slow down due to traffic. The 34-year-old pulled into the oncoming lane to avoid a collision with the 29-year-old. She collided head-on with the car of a German (57). The 29-year-old’s car was also damaged in the accident.
Mother died in hospital
The 34-year-old and her two children – a boy (3) and a girl (5) – suffered serious injuries. Meanwhile, the 57-year-old and her passenger (58) were injured to an unknown degree. The 29-year-old escaped with injuries. It took three rescue helicopters, the police and several Floriani disciples. As it became known in the evening, the 34-year-old succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
