A car police officers stopped near Traun was dangerously overcrowded. There were eleven people in the VW Golf, which was approved for five people – two children were even in the boot.
A civilian patrol from the Upper Austria regional traffic service checked a Ukrainian car shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The vehicle – a Golf 4 Variant – was stopped at the Traun exit on the A1 from Linz because the police officers had a small child on the passenger’s lap while driving.

At the time of the arrest, officers counted a total of eleven people in the vehicle. In the front row of seats were the driver, his passenger and the child on his lap, in the back of the vehicle were two adult women and four children, and in the trunk – lying over the luggage – were two more children. The driver paid a deposit and an extra car had to be brought to take everyone away.
