Police officers in Ferlach in Carinthia made a shocking discovery when they opened the apartment of a 35-year-old Slovenian. Her husband raised the alarm after the woman locked herself there and did not make contact.
“Because the 35-year-old wife of a 44-year-old Slovenian locked herself in the shared apartment on New Year’s Eve, after the woman did not respond, the FF Ferlach ordered the apartment to be opened by the police.” the police said. The Slovenian was found lifeless in the living room of the apartment.
Attempts at resuscitation failed
Unfortunately, resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. “When they were found, utensils could be found that indicated the use of addictive substances.” The Klagenfurt prosecutor’s office ordered an autopsy, which confirmed an overdose of various addictive substances as the cause of death. Signs of violence can be ruled out. The investigation is ongoing.
The woman is already the second person to die from drugs in Carinthia in a very short time. As reported, a 33-year-old was found dead in his apartment in Klagenfurt just on New Year’s Day.
