“Deeply disturbing” – Bank manager sacked over plane urination scandal

Date:

An Indian manager of US bank Wells Fargo has been fired for allegedly urinating on an elderly passenger on a transatlantic flight.

The banking company sets the highest standards for the behavior of its employees, Wells Fargo said Friday. The allegations against manager Shankar Mishra are “deeply disturbing”.

Suspect went into hiding
A 72-year-old passenger wrote to Air India to complain that Mishra, who appeared drunk, urinated on her during a flight from New York to New Delhi in late November. Air India then turned against the police. Investigators say the suspect has gone into hiding.

However, a letter distributed through a lawyer states that Mishra has already settled the matter with the woman in question and has paid for her clothes and luggage to be cleaned.
